    Smile Installing Java JDK in Windows 7 and setup the Path ***Solution**

    First Install java JDK in your computer as recommended installation.

    Now you need to set up the path in Windows 7 for use your JDK, the JDK contains the java applications for run and compile java programs in a folder called "bin".

    go to control panel, system, advance system settings , environment variables.

    click -new- in USERS VARIABLES

    the name of the variable must be "path" and the next line the location of the jdk.

    C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_18\bin;

    Don't use "java or jdk" like variable name or it will not work
    the name of the variable must be "path" so windows will know that is a path.

    now you are ready for use the jdk.

    I have to wonder just where you're going with this. Being the cynic that I am, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

    What's the purpose of this? If you just want to share something with others in our forums it's really nice. But this is not the correct sub-forum. Actually we have lots of related discussion already there in Java Tip sub-forum as well.

    Has a disparaging closing sentence that could bear editing out.

    Can you explain or show the full text of the error message. And explain what you did to get it.
