Default CLOSED: can someone help me compile and build a jar file

    Hi Group,

New to java but willing to learn.
Here is what I would like to do and would appreciate expert advice/feedback.
I discovered an excellent Scrabble game done in java called Jabble. It works really well but I would like to make a couple of tweaks to it (i.e. make it 800 x 600 on startup without having to resize and changing some of the colours).

So, I decomplied the jar file, made some changes and used NetBean 6.8 to do a clean and build but I get a lot of errors. I have tracked some errors down to a missing library called org.apache. Even when I installed the library I still get errors?

I would really appreciate if somone could tell me if they can rebuild the jar or am I wasting my time as the jar file was built in 2001? If someone can rebuild it can you tell me how it is done?

    Much appreciated

I don't see any reference to an Apache .jar file in the code, not even in the manifest file (as a matter of fact no external .jar is used at all as far as I can see).

    kind regards,

    Jos

    JosAH: Thanks for your response.

I think you are right. I was told it had something to do with Apache but it didn't seem to correct any errors after I installed it?

Can you keep me right. Is there any way of recompiling the code to make a new jar file or is it a case of it's just not worth the effort?

    Thanks
