    Default Properties, unicode

You are reading in a file whose contents are:
    \u000110=java
    Into properties object

After trimming the key you are left with 10 (\u001 is gone)
why is it that after you trim the key, value becomes null? (not java)

If trim key is not done, I still have a unicode as part of it and java as value

    Please explain this to me

Quick addition: when key is java and value is unicode, trimming either works as expected. No null problems

    Once again,

Java=\u00110 works fine with and without trimming either key or value
\u00110=java fails when I try to trim "java" which is assumed to be null after I trim the key (works without trimming key)

I have a question. This may seem like a dumb question, but does the Unicode system use binary numbers or hexidecimal? It looks like a binary but I've seen some that have letters in it.
