    Can anyone help me to know how to read time as input from user.

    Is this from the command line or you creating a gui where the user enters in the time in a textfield. It also depends on what you would like to do with the users input.

    There is also a class that you can use to get the current time of the machine.

    this might help you. How to create date in the format like (Fri Oct 31 08:46:27 PM PKT 2008)

    not sure if this is what you were looking for cause as fubarable said your post was very vague.
