    That's not the problem. The problem is that I can't install anything, I can't even use USB ports or DVD/CD drivers. That's why I needed help with java.

    Ask your boss (or any system administrator) to install it for you.

    Obviously you don't know any Java at all and what you do know (visual basic and C++) is not needed nor wanted by your employer. What did you do? Bluff yourself into this job at a job interview? I'd better quit my job then before your employer finds out because this bluffing is illegal.
