    Thumbs down The Problem is

    The problem is,

    I have installed JDK 5.0 and JCreator 4.0 in my computer. JDK 5.0 works successfully without the JCreator, I mean Using the Windows Note pad. If I tried to run the same application using the JCreator, It gives following error message, I have configured the Environment Path variable. It is "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin;". I don't what is the problem. What is Classpath? Is there any problem with that?

    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Welcome4
    Exception in thread "main"
    Process completed.

    This is the code,

    public class Welcome4
    {
    // main method begins execution of Java application
    public static void main( String args[] )
    {
    System.out.printf( "%s\n%s\n",
    "Welcome to", "Java Programming!" );

    } // end method main

    } // end class Welcome4

    probably the classpath is not being set in jcreator to find this Welcome4 class, or the Welcome4.java is not being compiled into a .class

    Maybe have a look at the url below for a FAQ of getting jcreator set up
    How to Use JCreator

    I have compiled the program before running the program. The program, I have uploaded in this forum has worked in my friend's computers. Is there any connections between Hard Disk and JCreator? Because, It worked before I change the Hard Disk. I have fixed the new 80 GB Hard Disk in my computer, from that day onwards, it didn't work. Please reply me.

    im not sure here. is posible your installation of jcreator is not working if you changed haredrives and some settings files were not copied by accident. or if some things were replaced to a diffeent folders? maybe try to reinstall jcreator, or inpec the profect settibgs, create a new test project to see if that works.
    i mean the basic sample class you posted compiles in my eclipse environment. i dont know much about jcreator, but if its like eclipse sometimes it gets wedged and needs reinstalling, if i move between computers and there are different folders or user permissions.
