Creating a .exe for your software

I've recently designed some software and want to give it to a few people to try out, so I decided to create an executable for it. However, when I create it and move it out of the main folder it won't run, and i get this message

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

I know it can't find the main class file, so does anyone know how to include the classes when creating the executable?

OK, I sorted that problem, but I still can't add images to the application.
Anyone?

And I need a .exe, not a.jar

A jar is an "exe" as far as Java is concerned, and, as far as most users are concerned as it can be "executed" through "double-click". You do not "need an exe".

And, what do you mean by "can't add images to the application"? What exactly are you doing that does not work.
