    you should be able to java the jar that net beans creates and you can move that jar around and distribute it as long as jre exists on the machine,.....

    so take the jar net beans created and move it to another folder and see if it runs

    So you don't need to jar it net beans did the work...the jar file has the same name as your package ....the dist folder contains your distributable jar file.....if you double click it it will run javaw if you want to run it with special arguments you need to create a batch file for the end user
