How to auto start Java application form browser

Hello,

I would like to create "desktop" application that is started similarly as WebEx directly from web browser. Do you know what technology is employed into WebEx to achieve this goal in all web browsers (Internet Explorer, Safari, Fire fox) ? It is not simple Java Web Start. What are other options for me instead of JWS ?

Hi,

When you say WebEx, are you referring to their website or some applications they have created? I would personally love to know first which application you are talking about before I can imagine or figure out what technology was used to create it. Maybe other members on the forum understand your problem straight away or you may have to explain this better.
