Edit .jar

I'm trying to put an xml file inside a .jar file but can't seem to figure it out.

I'd like to put ~/Desktop/Colors.xml into ~/Desktop/commmon.jar/com/adobe/flexbuilder/editors/common/color/

Also, what is the manifest? And do I need to edit that somehow once I've placed the xml file in the colors folder for this to work correctly?
