batch file not building to webapps folder
Hello. I just started running Vista :P and can't seem to get my projects deployed. I found out how to run the .bat file, but my project isn't in the Apache webapps folder. I'm getting an error in IE that says "Localhost is not set up to establish a connection on port 8080 with this computer." I'm not sure what's wrong.
- Environmental variable path points to java 1.6.0 bin folder
- class path seems set up correctly
- servlet.api is in directory
what am I missing?
thanks!

Sorry, I'm really new to this... do you mean start Apache Tomcat? If so, I did already.

Were there any error messages displayed when you started your tomcat?
Do you know which port tomcat is using.

No errors when I start tomcat. In the server.xml file, I found the server port and connector port. when I enter localhost:(server port number), there is no error, but 'I.E. can not display this webpage'. I diagnose connection, and it no longer gives the 'Localhost not established to connect...' error. I believe once I get the project deployed to the webapps folder, it will work. How I do that is the question.
