    Default JDK @ ubuntu

    Just installed JDK on ubuntu from terminal by sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre
    now where the JDK directory is?

    echo $JAVA_HOME will probably help

    And if it doesn't help then read the documentation of "apt-get install" for your distro to find out what it does. Nothing to do with Java really.
