'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,Please Help
Well I'm new to Computers My old computer was a windows And this new one is a vista. Back to the Point I really don't know anything accept the basics.
I downloaded the new java as of today 9/10/09 and I'm trying to play a Private server and look at codes ect. I get this message everytime i try and open the client. 'java' is not regonized as an internal or external command, Operable program or batch file. Press any key to continue.
I did not have this problem on my old computer!!!!!!!
Someone told me to check my Path and told me to add the end Info: %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\Sy stem32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0\bin;
Here's the problem i uninstalled java Cause it was in my Program files (x86) and tried to download it into program Files and it will not Go I'm so lost and really am getting tired of this new computer fast I have asked on so many other forums and have got no help at all.
Please Help!

Nothing seems to fix the missing Java system variable issue

That link above ^^^^ had since died, but I'm having this issue after upgrading to Windows 7

Which resulted in me just shifting the location of the ';', which produced no improvement
