Java Books

Hi,

i want to learn Java and i have seen quite a few books on Amazon and elsewhere covering this subject. I have learnt some programming during my university years and have now finished it and will be graduating in a few months time, but have realised that when you are in uni, although they teach you this, it became apparent that i never found the time to actually master/become profeccient at it due to the hectic schedule. Now that i have finished it, i want to get back to the basics and learn it now in my own pace (slow and steady). Therefore if somebody could provide some really good beginners or introductory books into Java that are easy to understand without it being so technical and boring in the first instance that would be great.

Start with Sun's own Java tutorial and keep a copy of the JLS with you for inspiration.

And also the Java documentation as well.
