Final year projects usually take a bit of time to do. It's therefore probably best to pick something that interests you so you don't spend a lot of time doing something that you don't like. Generally the more you like the project the better you will do at it. Since not too many people on the forum (me included) may not know what your interests are, it follows that they may not give very valuable suggestions.

I have a number of project ideas that I want completed if you would like to opensource you project after completion.

I want to create a general administration GUI for an Ubuntu machine:
DansGuardian GUI
Add and remove openLDAP users through a tree like interface.
Manage disk quotas for users in a GUI
...lots more

All this should be accessible from a remote windows/mac/linux so there will be a bit of networking required too.

i have one idea i.e develop taskmanager in suse in good graphical manner using java+systemprogramming suggest me,
