    Default MVC passing objects

Hi there i am trying to get better at using the MVC model view controller
    pattern....

I have got my head around listeners and using this mechanism to pass
information between the gui( view ) and the model ( data class)...

However, i would like to be able to pass objects around...
ie color object or a dataClass object....

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this with listeners...
I have been experimenting with the Observer pattern and again there doesn't
seem to be an easy way to pass objects around....

unless of course i can't see the forest for the trees ?

i would appreciate any direction , or articles ??

    thanks

from the class that extends Observable... eg Aclass

    Java Code:
       Aclass.notifyObservers(obj)
