Using Socket Programming in RMI to create chat application

Hello,
I am trying to create a chat application using RMI over IIOP.
Now I thought of using socket to make client - client communication in my applicaiton, but I am receiving the java.Net.BindException Address already in use.

how can I resolve this problem?

and can i use DAtagramPacket for my chat application in RMI?

Please help me out with this problem..
