    Default What does this line mean?

    I have a program called Mirth I run at work trying to understand part of the code that has already been built. Could anyone please explain what it means? Thanks

    Java Code:
    message = message.replace(/u0093+/g, "");
    message = message.replace(/u0094+/g, "");
    return message;
    So what does the /u0093 and /u0094 mean? Thanks

    the /u means its a unicode symbol. not sure about the +/g

    It replaces those, I'm assuming unwritable characters(line feed, end of data, etc), with an empty string. This could be to stop parsing errors or something.

    Liberty has always come from the subjects of government.
    The history of liberty is the history of resistance.
    The history of liberty is a history of the limitation of governmental power, not the increase of it.

    in javascript, /XXXX/g is global scope, specify this modifier to replace all matches, rather than only the first one.
    /XXXX/i, regex match case insensitive

    + in pattern means 1 or more
