Netbeans errors when transferring file

I have a project running fine on 1 pc within netbeans 6.5, when I put it on my other pc it will not generate the .txt file so in turn wont let me add a record to the file.

I am running the same jdk, same version of netbeans so I cant work out why I am having this problem. Could someone give me an idea of what is going on please as I havent got a clue.

The app is meant to generate a file allowing you to add members details to the .txt file, as I say it works fine on the pc that I wrote it on.

Why dont you use Jar file instead of source file in PC 2?

I feel that some properties of your project might be changed while you transfer your file ..

So you Jar file in Pc 2 to run

I think so. May be he's using some formatting on a string object.

so working with an IDE is not always as straight forward as they make you believe then, that is what you are saying?

No what I'm saying is, using the files in different PCs on the same working conditions (as you said) must work fine. And it works for me too. What I want to point you see portion of your code may be missing, deleted by mistake.

What i am thinking about this is,The properties file for your project might be damaged.This is a normal thing...

Well as a test I Zipped my file, deleted the original project then rebooted just to make doubly sure I emailed back the copy from my other pc, unzipped on the original pc and everything worked as it should.

I don't know what is happening but the application runs on the second pc but as soon as i press the button to create file this is when it breaks down, it throws one of the exceptions.

is this a common thing or am I just unlucky with this one?

I feel that the problem you are having is a common one for all IDE and in all platforms such windows,Linux and so on.
The reasons i think for that are,
1.Change of version.
2. Platform dependecies.
3. Project functional complexities.

I think you might be suffering by third one.
If you are strong in your logic just recreate it instead of copying it.
