    Default Cash Prize Challenge

Using the skeleton application attached you're asked to implement the following features.

    •lens distortion
    •fading
    •morphing
    •pencil sketches (using edge detection)

The images are provided within the zip files so you can test the methods on them. The skel app is pretty straight forward with the window and menus already set up.

All that is needed from you is to implement the 4 effects and add them to the menu so the user can find an image and apply an effect by choosing a menu option.

You can send the finished application to my e-mail address laura_babes69r@hotmail.co.uk this is when I will check to see if all of the features are working.

Ok to the cash. The first person to send me the completed and fully working application that uses all four of these features will be rewarded £30.

Don't worry if your not the first to complete because there are cash prizes for the first three fully working application. 2nd = £15 and 3rd = £10

The money will be sent to you by cheque when you are announced the to be in the top 3 you will be required to give your postal information so the cheque can be posted. However, other payment methods are acceptable if you prefer another way.

if you have any questions regarding this competition then post them on here or ask me at my e-mail address.

The closing date for this is the 6th April 2009

to me, this sounds more like: "someone do my homework for me. it's due on this day, but i'm not saying the time or timezone." notice how it's posted in a couple more areas as well.

It's a pretty pathetic attempt at that and I believe against forum rules.

funny how if someone even does send in working code, the poster can just say that 3 other nonexistent people had better implementations and not give you the grand prize of what would be less than a day's work of working minimum wage in california.

wow... that is lame. Better invest in actually trying to do the assignment than scheming ways to get other persons to do it for you.

    so stop moaning about it
Who made you boss? This is nothing about moaning; it's that we've worked hard for our knowledge and expect others to do the same. We don't like cheaters, we don't condone cheaters, and quite simply that's just what you are: a pathetic cheater. So get lost.

furthermore ive read the forum rules and this isn't against any of them
Then you haven't read them carefully. How about this one:

You are advertising a job, and this isn't allowed.

Listen.... who in their right (or wrong) mind would be providing a challenge with cash prizes just for the heck of it. There are no sponsors (Budweiser, Heineken, Duff, etc), so it smells fishier than a trawler.

Sorry about that I'm going through all the post here, just looking at the title. If our thread starter going to workout his/her project by paying others, not allowed in the forum. I would like to ask pay attention about that from our senior members here as well.

Im finding Fubarable to be very rude. Please explain why I am cheating? Im just doin what CJSLMAN said "providing a challenge with cash prizes just for the heck of it" but i don't know why a beer company would sponsor a comp that was worth £30 to the winner.

Simple, if you think this is a scam then don't do it. if you want to win £30 then do it.

    and btw fubarable you're moaning

Is it true Fubarable? If you know any location please let me know. :)

@Laura 123, please don't post the same question in different sub-forums within the same or in different forums. In that way people can encourage to answer to your question. And also it can mess in the forum.

I'm not saying that you've violate any rules. What I said is, if you going to do that I've to take an action against it. Anyway take it seriously.

Eranga, she's asking other's to do her school work so she can claim it as her own. Can you delete this and all her other threads?

Yes Fubarable, seems like that. I'm going through all the posts here in this thread. People can take any competitions anytime on anything. But not here in Java Forums. We don't allowed for such things. So I've to close this thread. Because that's the general decision we take in such cases.

@Laura 123, I hope you cleared-up with what we are talking here. Please don't do it again. If you have any question please send a message to me.
