    Exclamation Convert " " into simple " u "

    Hi,

I am Nitin, I have problem on character set.My original string is "Mller" and I want to convert into "Muller" (check with character).Because when I insert insert into database(MySQL), it will automatically converted into "Müller",
My question is how can I prevent these special character(I think its latin character).

    Any answer are appreciated!

    Thank you,

    N i T ! N

How it automatically convert in database, means that you are working on with incompatible data types. Fixing it much better than doing any conventions on the code. Check it first of all.

I dont know how MySQL change this special character letter.
If conversion is possible then this is great for me.

Make sure that your MySQL DB is setup to use the ISO-8859-15 charset (or, even better, UTF-8). And, make sure that you configure the connection properties in the connection attempt to use the proper character set. See MySQL :: MySQL 6.0 Reference Manual :: 9 Internationalization and Localization and MySQL :: MySQL 6.0 Reference Manual :: 20.4 MySQL Connector/J
