    Default netbeans+swing = painting program?

hi! I want to make an application, visually through the use of a form as a main class, that mimics MS paint. Any good tutorials/advice for this?

I already know of the "example" painting program but it's way too complicated.

Do you have a link for this example paint program? It would be worthwhile for us to see this code. Best of luck!
