    Default Java console

    Hi

    I'm a total newby messing around with java for the first time. I've downloaded the java development kit and used it for a class project. can someone tell me how to disable the java console? it now pops up every time I open a webpage.

    Are you working on Windows? If so, go to the control panel. Open 'Java' from there, you comes with the 'Java Control Panel'. Go to the 'Advanced' tab. Click on Java Console setting, and disable it from there. Click Ok to save the settings.

    Go to Control Panel -> Java or Java Control Panel

    Under Advanced tab:
    Settings -> Java Console
    Select 'Do not start console'
    Then click 'OK'
