Creating GUI's for simulators.

I am VERY new to Java. Can anyone point me in a direction to get more information on creating GUI's for simulators?

define simulator. Do you mean like a flight simulator game? or just some applet with pictures and such? Look up SWT, Swing, AWT. All those can help you create GUI's

um,... do you think that you maybe getting a little bit ahead of yourself here? If you are very new to Java, then I think you may be very far from coding flight simulator or similar real-time games.
