    Default Java Swing

    Hi,

    I am a beginner in java.I have done with fundamentals.I came acorss Swing so planned to learn Swing.Is swing is good place to start or should i need to look for any other technology.I am studying basically to compete in the job market will java swing hold a good chance for it or should i need to look in for some other streams of java.

    Depends on what kind of applications you plan on developing. In my job hunt, I spoke to at least 15 individuals on Java, and none of them brought up Swing, though it depends on what position you are applying for. Fundamentals of Java and OOP concepts are the most important, though.

    actually it all depends on which market you would prefer. In our case here, sometimes they need a web app sometimes desktop or background process (like batch processing). It is wise to learn All the basics of Java then after learning those basics you may can choose which you would prefer to work on. ^_^ Try it first. =P
