A better suggestion: follow the forum posts and try to find solutions to questions posted here. If you can't find an answer, or even if you find an answer but are not confident to post it, hang around till someone more knowledgeable does post an answer. Use Google, read the API... in short, do what the original poster probably neglected to do ;)
I learned most of what I know today doing exactly that. on the Sun forums.

Keep all Java docs ready in your machine, don't try to read them when you want on the net. Hence no need to bother much on answering questions here, and spend your valuable time. :)
