    Default Wmv,Chm,Pdf with Java

Hi, I wish to play some .wmv files in my Java application. I also wish to open some .chm and .pdf files in my Java application. Can i play the .wmv files without the Java Media Framework? Also,I have heard about Runtime.exec for opening external files. Can someone give a simple code example of this?

    Help is much appreciated.

opening a .PDF file is simple one can open a octet/pdf stream to the explorer . that will do the trick.

as far as .wmv file is concerned look for the help on net for playing media files throug java .. i think media component can directly be added to java prog.

If you are using 1.6 check out the Desktop class in the API docs.
