what is textpad? A basic text editor? Do you have textpad on your computer at home? What happens when you try to open files created in NetBeans in textpad? What shows up? How is it wrong?
You need to be able to answer these questions for many of us to be able to help you (or for you to be able to help yourself).

Text editor or the notepad is the basic editor we used to write text, in simple word. NetBeans editor is much advanced too than that notepad. It has a different format, in all sense like space, tab, newline and so on. So once you open a NetBeans file in notepad, still you can see the same content, but in horrible way. You can see whole content on a single line, unless maximum single line length is not exceeded in notepad. If you you can see multiple lines. So you cannot see NetBeans file with the same format in notepad.
