Loading time for a menu
Although I know how to manipulate scripts from having taught myself web design, I can't say that I fully understand the mechanics. Hopefully this question is in the right place, but if not, I apologize now. :)
I created an exandable menu for my website and the problem is that while it is loading, the menu is expanded for the first few seconds and then it goes into its collapsed form. I have tried to make a link to it so that you can see exactly what I mean, however the forum will apparently not allow me to post a link until I have at least 20 posts. I could type it out differently and get it to appear, but the admins probably won't like that.
So without seeing an example, does anyone know if there is a way for the menu to load such that it does not expand while loading? Do I need some sort of preloader to hide it for those first few seconds? I know there are preloaders for images, but I could not find anything about preloaders for scripts.
Thanks for the quick response. And yes, it's about Java Script (which shows you how little I know about this stuff). I'll give it a try elsewhere.
