Java looks and feels
i was researching some of the different looks and feels for java, and came across the quanta one, which looked really cool, but only works on macs. is there a cross platform or windows look and feel that can be downloaded (preferably as a jar) that emulates leopard or tiger style java look and feel? Thanks

Actually some of such look and feels are supported only for mac and not for Windows or Linux. Most of such packages are not support for all platform perfectly. On Suns' tutorial described all about platform independent stuff.

But you also can build your own look and feel with SynthLookAndFeel, which will work on all machines

Yes, it's not a bad idea actually. But I don't know how far it's easy yo our thread starter, because all paintings there are delegated. And also there is a serialization issues as well.
