[SOLVED] HotJava 3
I just installed HotJava but I can't get it to start...it gives an error:
Can't launch executable.
Windows error 126 ocurred while loading the Java VM.
I'd like to uninstall it but through the control panel, it's giving the same error msg.
How else can I get rid of this thing??"The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for." Maureen Dowd

Not sure what HotJava is. Is it an IDE?

If all else fails, you can delete the folder and all shortcuts.
Does HotJava make any registry entries?

HotJava appears to be a EOLed Java browser from Sun and was the first browser to support Applets.

Quoting from the first page linked:
These products are down-revision products that may have various bugs, Y2000, and possibly security issues associated with them. Sun in no way recommends these products be used in a live, production environment. Any use of product on this page is at the sole discretion of the developer and Sun assumes no responsiblity for any resulting problems.
How to get rid of it is an OS related question and not one on which you're likely to get any help here. Whatever made you install an obsolete, unsupported product in the first place?

HotJava is a web browser from Sun Microsystems that can execute Java applets.
I tried loading a simple applet in IE but it didn't show up...
Now I guess I'll have to search and delete anything and everything in my computer that says HOTJAVA...and I'll have to figure out how/where I can view my little applet... :(
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated."The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for." Maureen Dowd

Huh? All common browsers are capable of displaying Applets. How did you try loading your Applet in IE and what was the result?
