    Default Q:App development that runs in a browser, also as a desktop on all platforms

    i need answers to the following:
    1)i need to develop an application that should run in a browser (IE, and Safari) as well as a desktop application on windows & Mac. is it possible with java? if yes, how?
    2)also, my application is a simulation software which requires me render my model in a 3D. i have to offer zoom, pan, rotate etc operations for the 3D model. Is it possible with java (on browser as weel as desktop)?
    3) also, i need to offer a feature to add any comments on the 3D graphic window. Is it possible with Java?

    An applet will run in a browser and can be wrapped in a desktop application depending on what requirements it has from the AppletContext/AppletStub classes.
