    Yes, your question doesn't make sense actually. I'll try to explain this up to some level.

    JDK stand for Java Development Kit, a software package that can be used to write, compile, debug and run Java applications and applets. Basically it contains minimal set of tools which are need to develop Java application. Just starting form version 1.1 and now the latest version is 1.6.

    Hope this gives you an idea.
