    Question Stand Alone Applications?

Can someone please tell me how many types of stand-alone applications there are? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not clear what exactly means. But if I'm get you correctly, basically Java has two types Applications and Applets. Other than that, I have no idea what you mean.

Sorry for the question being not descriptive enough. It was a homework question for my Java programming class and I couldn't find the answer. But I finally found it. The answer was 2 types, console applications and windowed applications. Sometimes these classes ask the most stupid questions its so unbelievable. Thanks for trying though. :/

Another type might be those that execute without out errors and those that have errors.

The word type is too generic without some context.

Yes seems to me there is no specific context to discuss it. In my point web application also a standalone application. So what exactly means here. According to the answer that djpg200 found, it only related to core Java basically.
