call Microsoft's POWERPNT.exe

in my application, i try to open my power point file in slide show format, so i'll call POWERPNT.exe in my code to fulfill this task. however, i not sure whether it's legal to call POWERPNT.exe in my code as it's belong to Microsoft...

it's important and urgent, hope anyone here got this area of knowledge can answer my question. thanks in advance!
