    Question Connectivity between Servlet and Midlet

    Hi all,

    I am new to java.Please help me.

    I am doing a mobile application.I have to fetch from an access database table(master) using servlet and display on the mobile using midlet,if account no: and password are correct.

    I am attaching my midlet and servlet.

    It is not working.It means While entering account no: and password I am not able to fetch data from the database.Both midlet and servlet was compiled sucessfully.I am working with netbeans 6.0.1.I don't know how to package and deploy a servlet in netbeans.Please send me any documents to package and deploy a servlet in netbeans.I think that might be the problem.Please go through my code also.I will be thankful to you if anyone helps me.

    When I compiled the servlet I got the following error messages.

    ***********************************************
    AccountServlet.java:49: cannot find symbol
    symbol : variable out
    location: class AccountServlet
    out.print(rs.getObject(1).toString());
    ^
    AccountServlet.java:50: cannot find symbol
    symbol : variable out
    location: class AccountServlet
    out.print(rs.getObject(2).toString());
    ^
    AccountServlet.java:51: cannot find symbol
    symbol : variable out
    location: class AccountServlet
    out.print(rs.getObject(3).toString());
    ^
    AccountServlet.java:52: cannot find symbol
    symbol : variable out
    location: class AccountServlet
    out.print(rs.getObject(4).toString());
    ^
    AccountServlet.java:53: cannot find symbol
    symbol : variable out
    location: class AccountServlet
    out.print(rs.getObject(5).toString());

    Default

    The compiler can not find a definition for the variable out.
    Check that you have defined out so that it can be seen/is in scope for where you have referenced it.
    Do you mean to use System.out.print() ?
