    Default Japanese Input from Internet

    Im trying to get japanese text from a website. My problem is many of the characters are being changed to the character ''. So I'm getting input this like:

    Kv탊j[AHG̏oד

    This is the code I used to get english text, which I had no problem with:

    BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(websiteURL.openStream()));

    while ((inputLine = in.readLine()) != null) {

    }

    I know a bit about java , but not alot. I hope its an easy fix. Should I be inputting the data as bytes; then converting the bytes into text? I tried going down that path, but had now luck.

    Help and understanding for this problem would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Chris M
