    Question anyone,need help please...

    i'm newbie in java net programming, i want to learn about UDP, and on my first program there was a problem that i couldn't sent datagram from client to server, the error said that i need the local host name of the server, but i didn't know what local host name was?anyone can help me to fix it?

    Find a tutorial or book on networking in Java. Java is something that allows you to do a lot, but you have to build a foundation of knowledge first.

    thats really attracts me to learn more, one more question is about P2P, its a kind of protocol? what is the characteristics of P2P that distinguish it from TCP or PDP?

    p2p is an abbreviation for pear-top-pear communication, is a distributed architecture where participants contribute there resources to form the network. Opposite is centralized model.
