help about netbeans

hi...i am making a chatting software using netbeans. my problem is that i can't play a sound file from my application when a friend come online. it doesn't find the file.

my application project name is SimpleChat and i put the sound file in the directory /simplechat/src.

if i put the sound file in /simplechat then the sound is played but in that case the jar file doesn't contain the sound file. so my attempt is simply at a vein.

plz someone help me in details about my problem. i searched a lot but all my attempts are simply in vein
