Developing NetBeans not activating

I'm new to NetBeans and just downloaded 7.0 with all the bundles; SE, EE, C/C++, PHP. I opened the plugin dialog to activate some of the modules like "Developing NetBeans". After clicking "Activate" I'm greeted with this error:

Any ideas?

I've seen this problem mentioned elsewhere, and in that case the solution posted was:
-- uninstall NetBeans
-- reinstall NetBeans
-- Run NetBeans and run an online update of the IDE and all plugins
-- Then and then only, activate whatever caused this problem

Sorry, I don't have more details but maybe you can try that and get back to us here.

i have seen this problem then when i deleted the folder C:\Documents and Settings\user\.netbeans\7.0 it works fine

That's a rather drastic 'solution' if you've already customized the IDE to your liking.

Try using 7.1.2. Its the latest version that i can find and has way more help files.
