Default making an exe from .jar

Hi all my project is a software that is based on library management and I have used JAVA DB in my project because I don't wanted to make all the connections get lost while making it into exe(someone has advised me to do so so that I could successfully make exe, however I have also the same project linked with MySQL.)

Now that I also have Derby.jar file linked to my project and when I am building my project the files are stored in a dist folder which contains my main .jar file that executes the Program and other supported files.
Now how must I make an exe so that all the other supported files like derby.jar also get embedded in that main file or tell me any other method to do the same task.

Why do you want to make an exe though?
What are you hoping to achieve in doing that?

actually i want to make exe so that school who will install my software wont have to install unnecessary softwares like JRE and other like MySQL... NOw one problem is solved that is now I don't have to install the MYSQL but now there is one problem besides making EXE again that now when I am running the .jar file I have to start the JAVADB server manually by going into netbeans is there any way in which I can make the JAVADB server start automatically

It does mean you'll have a hefty exe because, as far as I'm aware, it'll contain the core Java classes. Installing Java really isn't a problem.

Anyway, is the db going to be used by a single instance of the code? That is, is it embedded? Because then you need to simply set the db up as embedded. It should be all in the docs.

In fact, here's an article from Sun.

This means the db starts up when your app starts it up.
