Design Editor
How do I view something in the Design Editor?
I've been working through a lot of the Swing tutorials and some of them allow me to switch back-and-forth between the source code and the design editor and some only allow me to view the source code.
When I go to View > Editor, sometimes the Editor option is disabled and I can't view it in the Design Editor.

What tool are you using that gives you an Editor option in the View menu?

View > Editors > Source/Design
The Editors list has a choice between Source or Design.

The design mode is only available if there is an xxx.form file in the same directory as xxx.java.
Few demo developers want to burden their efforts with NetBeans designer.
I used it yesterday and it was as annoying as ever.
