First of all, what you want to record? What type of you are going to record from the camera?

I confess I have no conception of what an "IP camera" is, but have you looked at the Java Media Framework? (I assume it's not actually the button that's going to be causing you the difficult coding problem...)

Yes me to Neil, I've never heard about IP camera. That's why I ask from our thread starter about the way he/she is going to make into data type. Still no any comment from there. :)
