Default Debug gives same result when I change the code!
Hi,

I'm new to NetBeans, and Java in general.

When I run some code (click the big green arrow) my program is executed.

But when I alter the code, even dramatically change it, when I hit the green arrow again, it gives the output from the old code still.

I have tried clicking Build Main Project and Clean and Build main project, but it still happens.

How can I update the IDE so it runs the new code?

Many many thanks for anyone's help.

It is most appreciated!

Thanks!

1. Once you click on the green arrow, IDE runs the main project in your NetBeans project list. Are you sure that you set the main project as the one you are working on?

2. NetBeans 6.5 have an unusual option. Once you click save only the project is compiled. Disable the option and try. If that option is enable, you can see an image of hammer with the coffee-cup on the project list window.

Thanks Eranga, I've gone with Eclipse instead.

Seems to work more like Visual Studio.

Appreciated

It's up to you. Once you work on for a long time on NetBeans those features are not strange. Actually those are really helpful.
