Hello to everyone!!
Hello there. I'm a new member of this forum. I'm going to create a sort of ERP dealing with suppliers, invoices and similar for an italian society (i'm italian too!). I've decided to program it with NetBeans. Hope you could help me in my first not-university project :D
We can help you lol. But first of all you must show your effort. If you stuck on with something, ask your question more clearly.
that's what I'll do! In the past i've used Java only for didactic reasons and i've never used the Swing Library or functions to manage DB. Now it's time for me to learn ^_^
Ok, so what are things you have done so far? If you are working on NetBeans really easy to do this.
Akis.... a full blown ERP is a very big undertaking. I would suggest the following:
- Get a list of requirements and understand it (get it signed by the client).
- Do design your program first on paper. Do not try to code it first and then design it as you're coding.
- Develop the code in managanable/testable pieces/chunks. Don't try to code everything all at once.
- Deliver the code to the customer in phases. Example: first invoices, then suppliers, then printing, etc. THis will make it easier both for you and the client.
This must be a good practice in most of the cases. And I hope our thread starter have well knowledge of Java too. So this want be difficult.
yeah, i hope it would be a good practice too, and i hope it would help me learn how to best program in java (here in Italy java programmers are searched everywhere)
If you lean Java really well, you can demand too. ;)
