Default how to write to parallel port?
I have a project for school where i have to write to this device:
ww.electronickits.com/kit/complete/elec/ck1601.htm

my laptop doesn't have a parallel port so i bought a usb to parallel converter.

i've tried for about a month now to get this working in c++ but to no avail so i'm switching to java.

i'm using windows vista so of course the security doesn't let you have direct access to the ports and i just need a way to do it if netbeans can help me around this or anyone else knows a good and easy way please help me

anything i've found out there isn't for vista
