We are looking for a smart, quick thinking and thorough individual who wants to develop their knowledge in this challenging industry.
The job holder will be responsible for the following primary requirements:
To develop business information using all data available in our current business databases
To help develop new facilities to gather business information
Analyse, present and comment on the results of the data extraction
To develop reports to a high standard, to enable the business to make financial, strategic and commercial decisions based on the results
Assist in the maintenance and development of the server farm.
It is essential that the candidates can demonstrate core competencies in writing advanced SQL queries.
In addition, experience of the following is desirable:
Mysql and/or SQL server
Java (Object Orientated Programming)
Linux
Apache, PHP, HTML & JavaScript
Search Engine Optimisation
Personal characteristics are likely to include the following:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent numerical & analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and present it in a clear, concise and logical format
Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment
Ability to manage workload and time according to deadlines set
Keenness to develop and drive the business reporting forward by supporting key decision makers
Experience of working within a busy department
Ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks
Remuneration is 25-35K + 20 days holidays per year and statutory holidays + private health care.
