Sr. Java Software Engineer Job Opening - Work remotely. Starting Salary $80k-$120k

As a member of our team, you will be working with cutting edge languages such as Node.js, MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis, and more. Development will include API's, new platform features and more. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Javascript.

In terms of work ethic, we are looking for a highly motivated individual that takes pride in delivering results while maintaining the utmost level of professionalism. As a team oriented group, we operate under an agile development philosophy, which includes weekly sprints and daily scrums.

Job Requirements

Education:

- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- A combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered on a case-to-case basis. Preference will be given to candidates to have the highest level of education and or experience.

Mandatory Skills:

- 4+ years JavaScript experience
- 3+ years of experience in a tech related leadership position
- Proficiency with node.js and asynchronous programming
- Experience with modern frontend web technologies and an excitement for HTML5/CSS3
- Comfortable in a Linux server environment

- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, CouchDB, and Redis
- Familiarity with and a preference for git and github
- Experience with express under node.js
- Experience with stylus or any other css preprocessor framework
- Experience writing / maintaining JS for large-scale platforms
- Experience with browser-based multimedia
- Demonstrated ability to create dynamic, modern interfaces
- Experience with integrating with facebook, twitter, and other social networks
- Familiarity with jQuery, Underscore, and require.js or other CommonJS AMD platform

Work Examples:

Providing specific work examples that demonstrate your abilities will help distinguish you as a candidate. The following work examples are preferred:

- Github account with published frontend javascript and/or node.js code
- A node.js module published in NPM
