Java Support Analyst wanted in Nottingham, UK

The Government Service Centre provides a leveraged application support service for a number of UK Government Accounts.
We are currently looking for 3rd Line Lead Development & Support Analysts to work in the service centre based in our Nottingham (Beeston) office.
Key Responsibilities include:
3rd line support of applications via calls assigned via help desk tool
(2nd Line Support when called upon);
Development of fixes, small scale enhancements and changes;
Resolution of incidents raised by application users under SLA targets; Providing help, advice and solutions to problems;
Carrying out operational maintenance tasks;
Support for bespoke applications running in a complex SOA framework;
Providing technical lead and providing direction for less experienced team members.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to meet the following criteria:
Experience of specifying technical design of changes to meet customer requirements;
Experience in development and configuration of Java, Weblogic, and Apache Tomcat components of changes including interfaces to database procedures;
Experience of taking responsibility for lifecycle of technical changes from design to unit test and overseeing implementation from a technical perspective.
PLEASE NOTE: A requirement of the position is for all candidates to undergo security clearance and to gain clearance you must be a British Citizen and have at least 5 years residence in the UK.
