I’m working on filling a Lead Portal Developer role that will be responsible for leading my client’s portal development team. They’re a mid-sized company in Portland, OR looking at rolling out an enterprise wide Websphere portal from scratch.

There is not a previous system in place so it’s really a great opportunity to create something new. The vision for this is essentially the underpinnings of their web strategy so it’s also expected that the successful candidate will contribute in developing processes, practices and standards for portal development (intranet/internet). It’s also important that this person is a solid engineer, one that has a good track record in OO J2EE design and development. Prior Websphere product experience is nice but certainly not required.
